Polka Dot Bonnets

Polka dots have always been a favorite of mine as far back as I can remember. I adore anything with dots on it. Helga, who is a super talented artist and blogger and entrepreneur and owner of Artchix put together a digi freebie with dots to go with her creative dot tutorial, so I thought I would give dots a try.
The outcome....2 Dreaming of Pink Atc's.

I began with a dictionary text for both backgrounds....and added a white paint wash to both. This first one had a little pink paint added to the wash and when dry some dots were added. I used a pink pen to outline the dots above and a black pen to the dots below. Each ATC was finished with lace and a black outline?

Which background do you prefer? Please leave a comment below, I would love to read what you think!
I have some collage goodies in Pink to give away, so I will pick one winner from the comments for next weeks Pink Saturday!
There are so many gorgeous Pink Saturday posts to enjoy, please find them at How Sweet The Sound, where Beverly is the wonderful host! Have a beautiful Pink Saturday!

  6. That is so pretty! I like the black lines around the circle---makes it pop out a little better! I've been making a few ATCs over the past few months. They're a great, short project with results in a small amount of time!

Hope you have a great week,

    Sarah

  7. Hi Gigi,

How are you doing? Long time no hear... I hope all is well with you and yours. As always I am sending you lots and lots of positive energy.

You wanted feedback on the background of the ATCs. My personal preferance is the second one even if I can't say why -- hah! :)

    Take good care!

    Hugs,
    your friend from Germany,
    Birgit

  8. Gigi,

I am getting a bit worried that your blog hasn't been updated for such a long time. I so hope all is well with you and yours. Please remember that you are thought of often and lovingly!!!

Thanks so much for leaving a couple of sweet comments on my blog -- so very much appreciated.

You wondered about name day. It's a Catholic thing -- you celebrate your name day along with the saint's name day. In former times (which would be my grandmother's youth), name days were even more important than birthdays.

Of course, I would love to welcome you back to my blog. Currently, I even have two giveaways -- details are on the left sidebar of my blog.

If you have a minute, please send a life sign. :)

Sunny greetings from Munich and a big hug,
    Birgit
