Welcome, thank you for coming by for a visit during Paper Traders 1st Blog Hop!
If you are starting here and haven't joined in, please visit the other Paper Trader Artist's, it's such a joy to see their creations!
If you have been following the Paper Trader's order you would have just come from Art and Soul.
I am Gigi, and I live in the"Valley of the Sun" in sunny Mesa, Arizona. I love arts and craft's. There is so much art here in the desert, it's a interesting place to be. I also love to trade and collaborate with art. I find that I cannot resist altered book round robins.
It's exciting when your book comes back to your home, you open your altered book and see the creativity and the joy that others put into your book and the many places the book has traveled. These books really make the best coffee table books! I believe art and art collaboration build friendships and deliver happiness and pleasure.
I am sharing a few spreads from an altered fashion book that traveled around the country.

ReplyDeleteCool books, Gigi! I also agree with what you said about altered book round robins - I just wish they weren´t that expensive ... that´s why I prefer tip-in projects like the one we have at Paper Traders right now.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to participate in a round robin, but am working on it. Great idea for the coffee table! Handmade books have a life and intimacy of their own. I'd love to win one of your handmade books..it would give me a place to work on all the ideas milling around in my brain.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win your journal. It is so nice. I have never done a altered book round robin, it must be a lot of fun.

ReplyDeleteIt was interesting to see your Moo card challenge. I love Moo cards and use them for my business cards. Their cute size makes them always stand out, and I really enjoy being able to put my own art on them to further personalize them. I've never tried making a handstitched handmade book, but it's on my list to try it, and I've pinned a few different methods! Thanks for sharing and let us peak into your world.
